Nigro and Giampapa Advance To New Englands at Wrestling All-States!

Burlington wrestling sent two wrestlers to the all-states in Salem this weekend. 

Junior Luke Nigro (152 pounds) won his first 3 matches to make the finals before losing to top-seeded Ryan Nivan of Tyngsboro 8-1. Luke beat Chelmsford's Scott McQuaide 12-3 in the semi's to reach the finals.

Sophomore Steve Giampapa (113 pounds) won 3 out of 6 matches to finish in 6th place.

Steve beat Springfield Central Tyrique Dowdell 4-2 in OT to place in the tournament.

Both wrestlers qualified for the New England tournament in Providence next weekend.
